SE Zone Cross Country success and State selection for Paige!

Back in Week 2, our Cross Country Team travelled to the Mount Burr Golf Club to compete in the South East Zone Cross Counrty. What a great day it was, hosted by Millicent High School! A big congratulations to our individual winners:

Harry Clark 1st U15 Boys, Paige Rasheed 1st U14 Girls and Libby Pretlove 3rd U15 Girls. Well done to all of our NHS competitors who all performed well, with a number of Top 5 and Top 10 finishes on a tough 3km course. We also took home the Under 15 Boys Team shield and Naracoorte High finished in 3rd place overall. 

Following on from her 1st place at the SE Zone Event, Paige Rasheed went on to represent our school at the Cross Country Competition in Oakbank.

In very wet and muddy conditions, Paige fell over the line in 4th place in an extremely close finish. Paige then raced again last weekend in Trial 2 and again finished 4th, which has awarded her a spot in the SA State Team. Paige will now head to Canberra in August to participate in the National Cross Country Competition representing South Australia.
