Naracoorte High hosts the 80th South East Zone Interschool Athletics Carnival!
In Week 8, Naracoorte High School welcomed six schools from the South East, for the 80th annual Interschool Athletics Carnival.
It was a beautiful day for athletics and the school was buzzing with families, friends, volunteers and staff all on site to cheer on the students. It was an exciting day of competition with a number of records falling, following some outstanding individual performances from athletes from participating schools.
Naracoorte High School finished with one of their best results in recent years, winning the Handicap Trophy for the most improved school, as well as our Under 15 Boys & Girls winning their age group shield. Tenison Woods College once again took home the trophy for the overall champion school.
A big thank you to our organising committee and wider school community who put in a mountain of work behind the scenes to make the day possible. Thank you to all of the visiting school officials, volunteers and participants who all contributed to, what was, a very successful carnival.
Best of luck to our athletics team, who will now travel to Adelaide in Week 11 to compete in the annual SSSA Track & Field Championships.
