FUTURE OF NARACOORTE IS IN GOOD HANDS!

Five Year 12 students competed in the Naracoorte Lions Youth of the Year Quest recently and it was Olivia Neagle who won the prepared speeches and was named the overall winner of the Naracoorte section. Ashlea O’Shaugnessy, Cleoni Trussell, Jasmin Ireland and Jamie Sincock also competed. It was a very close competition as each student had clearly put their points forward in a passionate and persuasive way discussing topics of young people and Agriculture, Men’s mental health in rural communities, exploring Australia, the importance of education and the importance of listening to elders. Ross Gleeson of the Lions Club stated that the students were exceptional and that if these students are leaders in the future then we are in good hands.
