Students from Year 11 Creative Arts, Photography, ‘Reno Rescue’ and Year 12 Community Studies (Art, Communication, and Science and Technology in the Community) shared their final pieces of work and folio support material in an exhibition open to the community. Around 50 or so family, friends and community members braved the freezing conditions to attend and celebrate student success. Visitors were asked to participate in a fun, informal “Viewer’s Choice” process by anonymously placing a vote on their favourite pieces of photography in various categories, with the recipient to be announced shortly thereafter.
Year 12 students also used the opportunity to collect and collate feedback and will use the information to further inform their work in Term 3.
Displays were left to share with Longridge Aged Care residents who visited the Centre the following week for morning tea as part of a Year 11 Integrated Studies unit, “Building Bridges”, catered for by the Year 12 Community Studies Foods class.
Congratulations to all students who shared their work and thank you to all our visitors in supporting the Art Exhibition.
